Shige Fujishiro (DE/JP) is born in Hiroshima. In 2005 he received his Ph.D. from the Hiroshima City University and the Department of Fine Arts and Art Theory. Fujishiro is currently living in Hannover. He entered the City of Hannover for the first time, during his art studies, where he spent a year as an exchange student at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
For Fujishiros site-specific art installations, his starting material are tiny glass beads and safety pins. For that he won inter alia the Coburger Glas Preis 2014, Sonderpreis der Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung.
During his Performances, he investigates the moment of an encounter between two or more human beings and their rituals.
